I'll be out and about this weekend.  Look for me at the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion.  I'll be walking the streets before the parade starts looking to flash people.  ... If you don't find me there, come meet me at Ultra Lounge in Brandon.  Tony Dize and Toni Ton Ton are going to be there as well.  ... Oh yeah, I'll be at the Gasparilla Knight Parade as well next Saturday night, at the Metromix tent.  We'll have the photo wall, goodies and beads to hand out.  ... -Javier ...

Booze and beads...pirates and parades!

It happens every year. A boat full of pirates hit the shore of Tampa Bay bearing beads and schlepping beer. The streets are blocked off to traveling cars, making way for the swarms of party-goers while dozens of hand-made floats make their way down Bayshore Boulevard ... Now, I must admit that after five consecutive years of attending Gasparilla, I'm still not really sure what I'm celebrating. The invasion of pirates in our city?  The exploiting of women for plastic beads? Or just delighting
