This past Saturday was the 14th annual Wazoo Beer and Wine Festival at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo! The sunny Tampa Bay weather set the stage for a great event as there were sooooooooooooo many people there. One recommendation that I will make for anyone going next year, is to get there early! The event started at 7:30

You scan down the list, looking for one or two of your most recent favorites, find them and can't believe that the restaurant wants $125 for the bottle you paid $35 for last week. Uncorked explores the meaning of this markup, explains the rationale and talks about a world with reasonably-priced wines.

My affection for the Mexican restaurant El Taconazo goes way back. It's a fondness that started after I moved back to the area in 2002 (I grew up in St. Pete), but cemented itself during the Tampa Bay Lightning's Stanley Cup run when some friends and I discovered eating there gave the team good luck. I later did an "Off the Eaten Path" story on owners Roberto and Monica Morfin ...

A reputable source told me about the great band Big Night Out that was playing during South Florida Museum's Caribbean themed Think & Drink Culture Party ... While I find it difficult to both think and drink at the same time, I was curious, so my significant other and I made our way to the museum. $5 cover got us in, with additional fees for food ... Jerk Chicken and

So my diet is not going that well as you can imagine. Last week I had that massive chicken sandwich over at the Palm, and today I had another massive burger in the form of the "Fatty Melt" over at The Blue Water Grill in the Quorum Tampa ... Folks if you haven't been there yet then you should definitely give it a try. Normally I find myself eating the entire meal and asking for dessert and more, but today I was officially stuffed. Kudos go to Chef Kelly over there for this creation, as well
Well I think the title says it all, but I wanted to hop on here really quick in between meetings at the annual FACVB Convention and tell you about the chicken sandwich I just had over at The Palm Restaurant in the Westshore District at the mall ... I was over there for a lunch meeting today and had a choice of three items for entrees. Seeing as how I had skipped breakfast, was really too hungry to experiment and test out the menu, so I decided to go with something that I knew I would
